LA NOTICIA is the first newspaper published weekly entirely in Spanish and distributed for free in strategic sites as Restaurants, Hispanic Stores, Money Orders Agencies, Churches, Social Clubs, Public Libraries and now, through the internet. We are proud to say that we are serving the constantly growing Hispanic Community of Jackson, MS and about a 150-mile ratio where the last census showed a population of about 50,000 Spanish speaking individuals. La Noticia is dedicated to inform, support and educate the Hispanic Community through articles of interest for the entire family. We expand our news to all the Spanish Speaking countries with reliable information about politics, sports and social events. We keep our community informed about all the new Immigration Laws and other news that would affect their daily lives making LA NOTICIA a MUST in every Spanish speaking home. Everyone in the house have their favorite section, we have new recipes for the moms, sports for the dads, health tips and humor for the entire family! Our first publication was in August 2001, we started with 4 pages and 500 units. At this time we publish 24 to 28 pages and distribute 5,000 units. La Noticia has more than 50 points of distribution and more than 25,000 readers weekly. In this short time, LA NOTICIA has become an important and key part of the Hispanic Community who has learned to appreciate and respect the involvement it has in the rest of the entire community We would then, like to offer this service through the internet too, with our professional and dedicated service to reach out to the growing Hispanic Community in Central and South Mississippi LA NOTICIA is distributed to the different stands every Wednesday.
